                    Team 3 is responsible, once a month, for refurbishing our priests’ portable Communion Kits, even if they have not been used.

 

                    Team 4 will be discarding any remaining wine in the ambry and cleaning the decanter. Please try to be conservative with adding new wine on the third Sunday and Team 4 will make sure enough will be consecrated for the ambry.

 

                    Team 1 will serve on the first Sunday in the month, Team 2 on the second, etc.  If the first day of the month is a Sunday, Team 1 will serve even though the Saturday duties will be done in the prior month.  Each team will be scheduled for an additional Sunday during the year.

 

                    Team 1 will serve on the fifth Sunday in April, and Team 2 will serve on the fifth Sunday in July.

 

                    If you are unable to serve your week, please switch with someone and notify Pat East and the church office.

 

                    Team Captains are assigned on a rotating basis.  They are responsible for checking that all duties are done on Saturday, scheduling the members for services on Sunday and any weekday services, and filling out the Service Form and posting it on the bulletin board.  When there are additional services during the week, the Altar Guild chair will work with the Team Captain to schedule help it if is needed.  Those who work only on Sundays will not be expected to serve as Team Captains. 

 

                    For special celebration seasons such as Christmas and Easter, all Altar Guild members will be asked to serve.  The Team Captain for these services will be the Altar Guild chairperson or co-chairperson.

 Bless the ministry of the Altar Guild, O God, and give us grace that we, caring for the vessels and vestments of your worship and the adornment of you sanctuary, may make the place of your presence glorious.  Help us to share your love and give support to each other through Jesus Christ, our Lord.   Amen
