Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir provides choral music for the Rite II 10:30AM service. Also, it leads the responses in the liturgy. Great music from the Anglican tradition is sung including anthems, psalms, canticles, and other service music. Singing is usually accompanied by the organ and occasionally by other instruments.

The St. James' Chancel Choir sings at the Sunday Morning Rite II 10:30AM service and selected occasions during the year.

The choir director leads the choir in mastering the music for the following the Sunday and for a few Sundays in advance. Vocal techniques are learned to properly communicate the words of the music to the congregation. Reading music is not required.

Practice Times: Thursday Evenings: 7:45PM - 9:30 PM
