Photos from the Easter Family Service
 at St. James' on April 8, 2007

In the family service, one of the first traditional ceremonies is the emptying of the "Alleluia Box" which has been kept closed throughout Lent:
The adult choir - "St. James' Singers" - is accompanied by the organ and a brass ensemble
Reading of the Gospel
The children are invited to sit around the altar for the Children's Sermon
After the sermon, the children are invited to pick up one of the "ALLELUIA" strips

After the anthem and Eucharist, the recession begins .....
Then the flower decorated cross is taken to the front porch of the church
