Sign-up for Parish-Wide Emails

You may use this page to add your email address to our parish email list.  Your email address will not be disclosed to anyone outside the parish without your permission. It will be used for periodic parish notifications that seem appropriate for email, and for mailing the weekly Parish "News and Notes".

You may update your record online with this form. If you prefer, you may update your record by (1) sending an email to the church office at office@stjamespotomac.org, or (2) filling out a blue pew card in church and leaving it with an usher or placing it in the offering plate.

Please use this form once for each email address you would like added to our distribution list.

To the left is a visual challenge meant to distinguish humans from computers and make sure you are a real-live human before we accept your form and generate an email from it.
  • If you don't understand the visual challenge (i.e., the letters/numbers aren't clear enough to you), you can get a new one by pressing the reload symbol immediately below the challenge box (looks like this: reCAPTCHA reload symbol). As you type your answer, you don't have to try to match the case of what you see. The challenge is not case-sensitive. And you can ignore diacritical marks (for example, just type "u" if you see"ü"). You can also ignore punctuation.
  • Visually-impaired users can click the audio button immediately below the challenge box (looks like this: reCAPTCHA audio symbol) to hear a set of words that can be entered instead of the visual challenge.
You won't have to re-fill the form in either case.
