Flower Guild Schedule

January 11 - February 19, 2012

Schedule:

January 15       Joyce  Graf
January 22       Carol Barrick
January 29       Kris Smithberger
February 5       Sarah Padgett
February 12      Mary Miers
February 19      Krista Stammeyer

  • Unless otherwise noted, the schedule assumes you plan to take down and distribute the flowers after the 11:15 service. If that is not possible, please let Mary and Sarah know well in advance, or (better yet) recruit your own sub for take-down duty and let us know.
  • Please remember to clean up (don't undo the good work of Joyce and others) and don't forget the two chapels (south transept and Children's Church.)
  • Please sign your invoice from the wholesaler and leave it in Mary's box as soon as you have done the flowers. (Boxes are in the passageway between the front and rear offices.) It would help if you would turn in requests for reimbursement right away also. Mary has been working with Parke Brown to ensure that he and the bookkeeper have the necessary information to pay our bills on time.
  • If you purchase flowers, be sure to get a quantity large enough for the reredos, the chapel, and the children's church.
  • Don't forget--if it's your Sunday, it's your responsibility to see that the flowers are distributed whether you are in church or not. Please make arrangements.
  • Our beloved flower room is shared with many individuals and groups for meetings and projects except for Christmas and Easter, when we briefly take over.) Please be sure to wash all glassware and pick up trash. If you are able to take flower trash home for pick-up, that is a great help since the church's commercial pick-up does not include yard trash. Flower boxes and other paper should be taken to the smaller dumpster near the shed. If you need to use the large dumpster, a key hangs on the side of the mailboxes and must be replaced there.
