St. James’, Potomac, is a community in which we come to know Jesus Christ, to learn about Him, to love Him, to proclaim Him, and to serve in His Name.

Our Winter Schedule:

8:00 am: Holy Eucharist
9:15 am: Christian education for all ages
10:30 am: Worship for all ages
- Children's Church for pre-K and Kindergarten
- Children's Worship Experience for 1st - 3rd graders with Eucharist
5:30 pm: Folk Worship Service with Praise Music

A time of fellowship follows the morning services in the parish hall.

Our Summer Schedule
June 16 - Sep 1:

8:30 am: Holy Eucharist, traditional service
10:00 am: Holy Eucharist, blended traditional & contemporary service, Children's Church following the Gospel
5:30 pm: Contemporary Holy Eucharist in the chapel

The Church in the World -- St. James' at Worship and Reaching Out

Hi! We are St. James' Episcopal Church of Potomac, MD. We are mostly in southern Montgomery County, from Silver Spring in the east to Poolesville in the west, and from Bethesda in the south to Germantown in the north. Our church building is at 11815 Seven Locks Road, between Tuckerman Lane and Montrose Road. We have a worship program in which God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — is worshipped in spirit and in truth, in all the richness of the Episcopal liturgical tradition. A varied music program and Christian Education are important parts of our worship life. Here's an introduction to the church and its programs.

We have a model Children's School for infants and young children. It serves as a major focus for outreach activity of the parish. And our active youth group includes both member and non-member high-schoolers and middle-schoolers from the area. The Youth Group website is at http://stjamespotomac.org/youth/.

Our spacious parish hall is used by the St. James' Children's School and for many parish events. It is also available for rent for meetings and receptions.

Our Prison Aftercare Ministry has prepared videos and guidebooks to help in the training of volunteers to do prison ministry. These are available to other churches and interested groups who may be want to create a prison aftercare ministry program.

We have varied opportunities for our members to support outreach and evangelism activities. For more information, call the church office or use our request form.
