John G. Miers, member of St. James' Episcopal Church in Potomac, Maryland, and the Diocesan Jubilee Officer for the Diocese of Washington, has received Montgomery County, Maryland's 2008 Path of Achievement Award. The Path of Achievement Award was established in 1998 to honor older County residents whose work and spirit have led to special accomplishment in personal and community endeavors.  The honorees were selected from among the following categories:  Advocacy, Community Service, Sports & Fitness and Workplace Contribution.
