October Vestry Highlights

· Report from Debbie Hokanson on Children's Ministry, highlighting the wonderful new undercroft facilities, a new class for children age 2 1/2 through 3 years old, a review of the year's program, the upcoming annual family hay ride and Advent crafts workshop, integration of music and teaching of prayers in the program, boundless praise for the Sunday School teachers and ongoing search for more. Vestry's thanks to Debbie and Janice Genter for their fine work.

· Report from Marshall Finch on Adult Ministry, highlighting major focus on Adult Forum on Sunday with new pattern of two simultaneous activities with smaller groups to facilitate more discussion, joint meeting with Worship Commission to integrate planning.

· Report from Administration Chair, Holly Irving, on nominations for vestry and officer positions, in preparation for the election at the Annual Meeting in November.

· Report from Stewardship Chair, Susan Olson, on the fall Annual Fund campaign, with demonstration of new materials to be sent to all members later this month, combining the essential need to inspire responsible proportional giving to support the church needs and program while also doing important teaching on stewardship.

· Report from Facilities Chair, Isabelle Schuessler, about new front doors and consideration of stained glass panels in them.
